Another online financial settlement provider has said it is planning to introduce a letters of credit (L/Cs) service in the future.

California-based Tradenable - until this year known as i-Escrow.com - provides online clearing and settlement services, with a particular focus on serving electronic marketplaces. In this respect it has recently announced a plan to offer complete online financial settlement solutions to more than 150 such marketplaces connected to Global Trading Web, which Tradenable says is the world's largest business-to-business (B2B) trading community.

Tradenable will initially offer escrow and direct pay services to selected electronic marketplaces, but says it will also extend both L/Cs and trade credit services to customers in the future.
