Note: The Creditors' Committee of TOUSA, a builder of residential housing units, filed an adversary action to avoid and recover liens and payments as preferential in amounts in the hundreds of millions of US dollars. As a result of the housing downturn, TOUSA defaulted on various guarantees and litigation followed. As part of a settlement, loans of US$500 million were made by various banks. Among the fees noted were fees of "[US]$8,861,198.15 to Deutsche Bank for fees regarding letters of credit". Deutsche Bank had acted as trustee for the several creditors who had sued TOUSA.
